Intelligas puts high tech, quality and service into gas safety

Intelligas, the gas safety and control systems specialist, is a young company making big inroads into the gas interlock and proving system market, with industry-beating service, tight pricing and a high quality product that makes the best possible use of the latest technology.

“We realised that many of the systems on the market did not make the best use of modern technology and that their suppliers were not offering the levels of service installers and specifiers need,” says Andrew Dickenson, Managing Director of Intelligas.

“We understand very well that for many people who buy a gas interlock system, the main consideration has to be cost,” he says. “They buy it to satisfy a legal requirement and they want to get the job done for the smallest possible outlay. That’s why our systems are extremely competitively priced.” They are also carefully designed to make sure that fitting is as simple as possible. “We get consistent feedback from installers that our units are quicker and easier to put in than anything else on the market,” he says.

But there’s more to it than that. “We’ve tailored our range to suit the different types of need we’ve seen in the market,” he says. “For the small scale food or catering operation, the Intelligas 100 series Gas Interlock is designed to do the job,” he says. “It complies fully with BS 6173, yet the cost of the unit and the cost of installation are kept to a minimum.”

For specifiers who want to get more out of the system, the Intelligas range also has microprocessor-powered systems which enable the user to take full advantage of the most up-to-date technology. “Our higher range systems, like the EGI Gas Interlock and the Intelligas 2000 series can be programmed to do exactly what the specifier wants,” says Andrew Dickenson. “Not only does it mean that you get a system that fits your needs exactly, but it also gives you the flexibility to cope with any changes in the standard or the legislation surrounding gas interlock systems. We believe we can, to a much greater extent than any other supplier, future proof your system.”

Intelligas systems are designed to last for a long time. “Our units are guaranteed to deliver and go on delivering in harsh kitchen environments,” he says. “On the outside they are in solid cases, with durable wipe-clean instruction labels which won’t fade or disintegrate. On the inside they use solid state circuitry designed to last a lifetime.” Intelligas maintains close control of every aspect of production. “Our systems are 100% UK-built. All of our components are sourced in the UK and all of our units are manufactured here too,” he says. “We test every unit before it goes out. We know it works and we know it’s going to keep on working.”

Even once the unit is in, Intelligas aims to beat the competition. “It’s a long term relationship,” he says. “We make sure you have the right back-up and the right help and advice. We don’t just sell units and walk away from you.”

If you want gas safety equipment that gives you the highest specification with highly competitive prices and straightforward installation, then Intelligas has to be the choice.
