It is extremely important to have your gas interlock system installed by a professional. To give you an idea of why this is so vital:

  • 89% of failures reported to Intelligas are because of incorrectly installed air pressure switches (air pressure switches are the only recognised method of interlocking for compliance with BS6173)
  • 5% of failures are simply due to the interlock system being electrically fed from the same circuit as another faulty appliance!
  • Other failures include old gas valves being reused and even poorly wired emergency stop buttons.
